Asset History
Asset History helps you understand what is happening with a vehicle by visualizing key events over time, like charging actions, power delivery states, and interventions.
With Asset History, you can:
- Trace the full sequence of events for any vehicle
- Understand how vehicles are being used and controlled over time
- View failed charging actions and interventions with rich detail
- Spot and resolve integration issues early
Asset History makes it easier to answer questions like:
- Why did this charging action fail?
- Was the vehicle plugged in at a known location at the time?
- What is needed to resolve an active intervention?
- What state was the vehicle in before and after the issue?
Copy linkKey features
Copy linkTimeline
The timeline provides a high-level overview of the vehicle’s state over a selected period. You can use it to:
- Identify key events such as charging starts/stops and failed actions
- See how the battery level changed over time
- Spot interventions and investigate when issues began
Click anywhere on the timeline to explore the corresponding log entry and detailed state.
Copy linkLog
On the right of the timeline, the log displays a chronological list of the key events and actions displayed on the timeline.
You can use the log to quickly navigate between important moments and spot patterns over time.
Copy linkEvent detail
Clicking on any state of charge event in the timeline or log opens the Event detail view. This gives you context on what happened and what state the vehicle was in at the time.
You will see:
- Warnings on current error states (e.g. interventions)
- A summary of the charge state
- The current location ID (if set)
- Access to the full asset state
- Contextual guidance on the current state of the asset
Copy linkAction detail
Clicking on any action state event in the timeline or log opens the Action detail view. The Action detail view will help you answer what states the action went through and if it failed, why.
You will see:
- A log of the states the action went through
- The time it took for the action to respond
- The response status and error message (if any)
- The error reason (if any)
- The full payload of the action state event
This can help you determine whether the failure was caused by the asset, the integration, or an external condition (e.g. vehicle not plugged in).
